CdTe Quantum Dots Embedded in Multidentate Biopolymer Based on Salep: Characterization and Optical Properties

open access: yesJournal of Chemistry, 2013
This paper describes a novel method for surface modification of water soluble CdTe quantum dots (QDs) by using poly(acrylic acid) grafted onto salep (salep-g-PAA) as a biopolymer.

Fast One‐Step Microwave Synthesis of 2H–1T MoS2 for Efficient Hydrogen Evolution

open access: yesAdvanced Synthesis &Catalysis, Volume 368, Issue 15, 1 August 2026.
MoS2 nanoflakes were rapidly synthesized in a microwave hydrothermal reactor for HER catalysis in a single 15‐min step. For the first time, in situ monitoring of synthesis parameters was performed using a camera, while XPS and XRD analyses confirm that the process forms MoS2 nanoflowers with mixed 2H–1T seeds, directing the subsequent growth of pure 1T

Highly Luminescent Water-Soluble CdTe Quantum Dots

open access: yesNano Letters, 2003
Colloidal CdTe quantum dots prepared in TOP/DDA (trioctylphosphine/dodecylamine) are transferred into water by the use of aminoethanethiol.HCl (AET) or mercaptopropionic acid (MPA). This results in an increase in the photoluminescence quantum efficiency and a longer exciton lifetime.

Just Transition Toward Clean Energy Access With Focus on Lead‐Based Perovskite Solar Cell Technology: Lessons, Experiences, and Future Perspectives

open access: yesGlobal Challenges, Volume 10, Issue 8, August 2026.
To intentionally mitigate energy poverty in underserved communities, advanced perovskite energy technologies such as lead‐based perovskite solar cells are necessary. However, in future deployment of these materials, energy justice, equity, inclusivity and environmental sustainability must be taken into account.

Development of low cost ZnO based chemi resistive biosensor for the detection of vitamin B6 mediated by quantum dots

open access: yesScientific Reports
In this study, we developed a chemi-resistive sensor for vitamin B6 mediated by CdTe quantum dots (Cadmium Telluride QDs) utilizing ZnO-based thin films through the spin-coating sol–gel technique annealed at 500 °C.

Cytotoxicity and cellular imaging of quantum dots protected by polyelectrolyte

open access: yesJournal of Pharmaceutical Analysis, 2012
The nanocomposites of poly-diallyldimethylammonium chloride (PDADMAC) and CdTe quantum dots (QDs) (i.e. QDs-PDADMAC nanocomposites) have been prepared based on electrostatic interaction and their fluorescence stability in aqueous solution has been ...

Toward Tunable Magnetic Dirac Semimetals: Mn Doping of Cd3As2

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, Volume 36, Issue 60, 27 July 2026.
Dilute magnetic doping of topological semimetals offers a pathway to tune the topological phase via time reversal symmetry breaking. This is achieved by alloying the Dirac semimetal Cd3As2 with Mn via molecular beam epitaxy. Magnetotransport measurements provide preliminary evidence of changes to the electronic structure consistent with the emergence ...
