Neurocysticercosis in Ceará State, northeastern Brazil: a review of 119 cases.
The American journal of tropical medicine and hygiene, 1998Relatively little is known about the occurrence of neurocysticercosis in northeastern Brazil. There have been no published reports from the state of Ceará, but a review of the records at the Hospital São José in Fortaleza, Brazil identified 119 patients with neurocysticercosis diagnosed between January 1988 and April 1994.

Molecular Epidemiology of Oropouche Virus, Ceará State, Brazil, 2024
Emerging Infectious DiseasesDuring May–December 2024, we detected Oropouche virus (OROV) in 13.9% (263/1,890) of febrile patients in Ceará state, Brazil. Genomic sequencing revealed those cases were caused by a novel OROV reassortant previously identified in the Amazon region.

2009This study determined a function demand for residential water. The data were stratified by geographic areas according to the level of regularity of water supply to the households. Income, price, number of rooms and persons in the households were found to be the main variables influencing the level of water consumption.
