Revalidation of Saguinus ursula Hoffmannsegg (Primates: Cebidae: Callitrichinae)
In this study, we review the taxonomy of Saguinus niger (É. Geoffroy) and revalidate Saguinus ursula Hoffmannsegg as a distinct species. The revalidation is based on pelage coloration, and the pattern of morphological divergence is corroborated by molecular data. Samples from the east bank of the Tocantins River (S.

The nomenclature of the blond capuchin, Cebus flavius (Schreber, 1799) (Mammalia, Primates, Cebidae)

After recent revisions, taxonomic reclassifications were proposed, including (1) the recognition of Leontocebus as a new genus, and (2) the subdivision of Saguinus into three subgenera.

The meiotic chromosomes of Cebus apella (Cebidae, Platyrrhini)
Cytogenetics and Cell Genetics, 2008An analysis of the meiotic chromosomes of Cebus apella (Cebidae, Platyrrhini) has allowed for the visualization of constitutive heterochromatic regions throughout the meiotic cycle and has permitted the identification of four chromosomes in the first and the second divisions.
