A RAD-sequencing approach to genome-wide marker discovery, genotyping, and phylogenetic inference in a diverse radiation of primates. [PDF]
Until recently, most phylogenetic and population genetics studies of nonhuman primates have relied on mitochondrial DNA and/or a small number of nuclear DNA markers, which can limit our understanding of primate evolutionary and population history.

The current status of the New World monkey phylogeny
Four DNA datasets were combined in tandem (6700 bp) and Maximum parsimony and Neighbor-Joining analyses were performed. The results suggest three groups emerging almost at the same time: Atelidae, Pitheciidae and Cebidae.

A new karyotype inCallicebus Torquatus(Cebidae, Primates) [PDF]
We describe a new karyotype of Callicebus torquatus using conventional staining, G-banding with Wright Stain, CBG, Ag-NOR staining and fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH) with human telomere probes and comparative analysis with the previously reported karyotype of C. torquatus torquatus (2n = 20).

Sperm Morphology in Neotropical Primates
The morphological and morphometric characterization of spermatozoa has been used as a taxonomic and phylogenetic tool for different species of mammals. We evaluated and compared the sperm morphometry of five neotropical primate species: Alouatta caraya ...
