Chinese Position Paper on Biologic Therapy for Allergic Rhinitis. [PDF]
AllergyABSTRACT
Allergic rhinitis (AR) is a common, persistent nasal disorder that poses significant public health challenges worldwide. Current treatment options frequently fail to achieve adequate symptom control in a substantial subset of patients. Over the past two decades, biologic therapies that target type 2 inflammatory pathways have been used to ...Zhang Y, Li J, Li X, Wang M, Yang X, Shi L, Cao Z, Feng Y, Liu W, Xu Z, Ma R, Gao X, Liu W, Xue J, Ren X, Li X, Song X, Yang Y, Quan F, Cheng L, Jiang W, Li H, Li J, Liu H, Liu J, Liu Z, Lv W, Qiu Q, Wang X, Xu Y, Xu Y, Yang Q, Yang Y, Ye J, Yu H, Zhu D, Wang C, Zhang L. +37 moreeuropepmc +2 more sourcesDoes an apple a day keep away diseases? Respirology Case Reports, Volume 11, Issue 6, June 2023., 2023 We report a first case of eosinophilic pneumonia induced by lettuce in a lettuce farmer. Abstract
A 56‐year‐old female lettuce farmer was admitted to the hospital with a low‐grade fever, worsening cough, and dyspnoea. A blood test revealed eosinophilia and a high serum IgE concentration. The 3‐year follow‐up showed that her total IgE level increased in Reina Sekiya, Tatsuya Nagano, Tatsuya Moriyama, Aki Kawaguchi, Takafumi Fukui, Chihiro Mimura, Yohei Kimura, Hisashi Ohnishi, Yoshikazu Kotani, Yoshihiro Nishimura +9 morewiley +1 more sourceInternational consensus statement on allergy and rhinology: Allergic rhinitis – 2023

In the 5 years that have passed since the publication of the 2018 International Consensus Statement on Allergy and Rhinology: Allergic Rhinitis (ICAR‐Allergic Rhinitis 2018), the literature has expanded substantially. The ICAR‐Allergic Rhinitis 2023 update presents 144 individual topics on allergic rhinitis (AR), expanded by over 40 Sarah K. Wise, Cecelia Damask, Lauren T. Roland, Charles Ebert, Joshua M. Pediatric Allergy and Immunology, Volume 34, Issue S28, March 2023., 2023 Abstract
Since the discovery of immunoglobulin E (IgE) as a mediator of allergic diseases in 1967, our knowledge about the immunological mechanisms of IgE‐mediated allergies has remarkably increased. In addition to understanding the immune response and clinical symptoms, allergy diagnosis and management depend strongly on the precise identification of ...Stephanie Dramburg, Christiane Hilger, Alexandra F. Journal of Immunology Research, Volume 2023, Issue 1, 2023., 2023 Pollen food allergy syndrome (PFAS) is caused by cross‐reactivity with pollen; however, not all‐pollen‐sensitised individuals develop PFAS, and studies on the characteristics of PFAS development are limited in Japan. We investigated the prevalence and risk factors for the development of PFAS in Japanese children and adolescents sensitised to pollen and Masaya Kato, Manabu Miyamoto, Fumitaka Takayanagi, Yusuke Ando, Yuji Fujita, Motoko Nakayama, Shigemi Yoshihara, Lalit Batra +7 morewiley +1 more sourceEfficacy of dual sublingual immunotherapy with Japanese cedar pollen and house dust mite allergens in patients with allergic rhinitis sensitized to multiple allergens

Tissue Antigens, 1996 Japanese cedar pollinosis is a type I allergic disease caused by Japanese cedar (Cryptomeria japonica) pollen. We investigated the association between the disease and HLA class II alleles by HLA‐DNA typing using a PCR‐SSOP method and found that the frequency of HLA‐DP5 (DPA1*02022 and DPB1*0501) was significantly increased in the patients.T, Hori, N, Kamikawaji, A, Kimura, T, Sone, N, Komiyama, S, Komiyama, T, Sasazuki +6 moreopenaire +3 more sources
