An experimental approach to assess the combined effects of multiple stressors on a large vertebrate species

open access: yesConservation Biology, Volume 40, Issue 4, August 2026.
Abstract The design of experiments to investigate the combined effects of multiple stressors requires exposing target organisms to multiple combinations of stressor doses. Concurrent manipulation of stressors is often infeasible with wildlife, but long‐lasting health effects allow individual health to be used as an integrator of prior stressor exposure.

Landscape Context and Environmental Stochasticity Shape Genetic Management Outcomes in an Amphibian

open access: yesEvolutionary Applications, Volume 19, Issue 8, August 2026.
ABSTRACT Landscape context can influence demographic rates and, consequently, the population genetic processes determining levels of genetic diversity. However, the role of landscape context is not always sufficiently considered in conservation management.

Ibero‐Balearic plant disjunctions: genomic support for rapid and recurrent long‐distance colonizations of the endangered Diplotaxis ibicensis (Brassicaceae) despite no dispersal syndromes

open access: yesPlant Biology, Volume 28, Issue 5, Page 1560-1572, August 2026.
Genotyping‐by‐sequencing data reveal six well‐defined clades in the endangered Diplotaxis ibicensis, endemic to the western Mediterranean Basin and indicate rapid and recurrent long‐distance colonisations across the Balearic Islands and the eastern Iberian coast despite the absence of dispersal syndromes.
