In the majority of CEFTA countries agricultural trade balance is characterized by an unceasing growth of deficit. Since 1993, export of agricultural products from the Slovak Republic has decreased by SK 1.4 bn and import decreased by SK 1.3 bn (15 per cent) by the year 1996. Agricultural trade deficit worsened by SK 5.2 bn ( 40 per cent).
