This study examines the impact of foreign direct investment on firm-level energy efficiency in CEFTA 2006 economies. Using firm-level data from 2,241 firms across seven CEFTA 2006 economies for the period 2017-2018, we employ propensity score matching to estimate the effect of foreign direct investment on energy intensity.
