Effect of TiO2on the Color Generation in Celadon Glaze

Journal of the Korean Ceramic Society, 2014
In aprevious study, the mutual interaction between Fe₂O₃ and TiO₂ was found to influence the color of celadon glaze. Celadon samples were prepared with varying concentrations of TiO₂ at a fixed level of Fe₂O₃. The electronic states of Fe and Ti were analyzed by Mossbauer spectroscopy and electron spin-resonance spectroscopy, respectively. These results

A Compositional and Microstructural Study of Korean Celadon Glazes of the 11th to 15th Centuries

MRS Proceedings, 1990
AbstractCeladons--stonewares with pale green or greenish-blue glazes--have a rich and varied history in ancient China that begins in the Eastern Han period (A.D. 20-220) and extends nearly 1500 years [1]. The initial development of celadon wares in Korea probably dates to the late 9th century [2,3].

Systematic Study on Colorative Mechanism of Ancient Goryeo Celadon Glaze by Mossbauer Spectroscopy and Chromaticity Analysis

Journal of the Korean Ceramic Society, 2012
In ancient Goryeo celadon, the effect of the chemical composition and ionic state of Fe on the color was evaluated by Mossbauer spectroscopy and Design of Experiment (DOE) analysis. The ancient celadon pieces excavated from the kiln sites in GangJin and Buan areas were analyzed by Mssbauer spectroscopy, chromaticity, and DOE analysis.
