Testing the Marketing Performance of German Wheat Farmers

ABSTRACT This paper analyses the marketing performance of wheat farmers in Germany. Wheat sales data from 465 individual farms over a 12‐year period are used to test against different market benchmarks. Market benchmarks are constructed by simulating passive trading agents using regional wheat prices.

This research introduces attitude towards the endorsement as a mediating variable in the relationships between celebrity source and endorsement factors and brand attitude. It also includes perceived celebrity motive, a variable rarely studied in the previous literature, as an endorsement factor.

The manuscript confirms and expands on previous reports concerning the presence of unusual conjugated hydroxydienoic fatty acids and acetyl‐TAG in the seed oil of Securidaca longipedunculata. The location of acetate only at sn‐2 of TAG was conclusively shown by high resolution NMR and hydroxy seed fatty acids are characterized.
