FMint: Bridging Human Designed and Data Pretrained Models for Differential Equation Foundation Model for Dynamical Simulation

open access: yesAdvanced Theory and Simulations, EarlyView.
FMint is introduced as a multi‐modal foundation model that integrates human‐designed solvers and data‐driven methods for fast, accurate simulation of dynamical systems. FMint leverages in‐context learning within a transformer‐based framework to refine coarse numerical solutions.

Angular momentum bounds in particle systems [PDF]

open access: yesCelestial Mechanics and Dynamical Astronomy, December 2019, 131:58, 2019
Four expressions involving sums of position and velocity coordinates bounding the total angular momentum of particle systems, and by extension of any continuous or discontinuous material systems, are derived which are tighter for any particle configuration than similar inequalities derived by Sundman (1913), Saari (2005) and Scheeres (2012).

TITIUS-BODE`S Relation and 55 Cancri [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Astronomy and Space Sciences, 2008
Two kinds of important issues on Titius-Bode`s relation have been discussed up to now: one is if there is a simple mathematical relation between distances of natural bodies orbiting a central body, and the other is if there is any physical basis for such

Simulation of the Motion of Stars Escaping from the Galactic Center

open access: yesOpen Astronomy, 2015
Motions of stars escaping from the Galactic center are simulated. It is shown that the Galactic bar reduces the initial velocity needed to escape from the Galaxy.

The epicycle model

open access: yesModelling in Science Education and Learning, 2013
The solutions of the equations of motion for a point mass particle under a conservative force field are generally constrained by a basic set of integrals of motion, which depend on the knowledge about the potential function and on time and space ...

Considering the animating ethos of designing digital first unemployment services: On the motivation of others

open access: yesAustralian Journal of Social Issues, EarlyView.
Abstract This paper explores the animating ethos of digital unemployment services. Unlike human‐to‐human services, where the intention of policy is normally mediated by professionals, digital services are fully designed in the policy imagination. As a result, it is a pressing issue to understand the ethos that animates their development.
