Reaction Chemistry of Zirconocene(II) with Ferrocenyl Carbonyls§

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Inorganic Chemistry, EarlyView.
The reaction behavior of ferrocenyl‐containing aldehyde and ketones towards a stabilised Zr(II) complex is presented. By increasing their steric demand, the typical dimeric metallaoxirane structure could be stepwise dismantled and the carbonyl coordination changed from side‐on to terminal, resulting in a unique Zr(II) compound.

Turning the Camera Off in Virtual Interactions Can Harm the Reputation

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Social Psychology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Virtual communication on digital‐meeting platforms is increasingly common in work, educational and other settings. One contentious issue concerns camera use. Some suggest keeping the camera off to mitigate ‘Zoom fatigue’, whereas others argue that keeping the camera on is a sign of dedication and engagement. Here, we conducted an experiment to

Dielectrophoresis Tutorial: Inspired by Hatfield's 1924 Patent and Boltzmann's Theory and Experiments of 1874

open access: yesELECTROPHORESIS, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The first patent to describe dielectrophoresis (DEP) as a means and process to separate particles from a mixture was granted by the US Patent Office to Henry Stafford Hatfield in 1924. The novel methods of sample preparation and designs of electrode geometry covered by the patent's disclosures and claims describe the basis for most present‐day
