Gelation of cellulose nanocrystals
Colloidal gels of cellulose nanocrystals (CNCs) were prepared using three different strategies by manipulating their colloidal stability. In the first approach, colloidal gels were prepared by hydrothermally treating CNC suspensions. Desulfation of the CNCs at high temperature appears to be responsible for the gelation of the CNCs, giving highly porous

Effects of polymorph transformation via mercerisation on microcrystalline cellulose fibres and isolation of nanocrystalline cellulose fibres [PDF]
Cellulose I can be irreversible transformed into cellulose II via mercerisation or regeneration treatments. In the past few decades, mercerisation was used mainly to improve fibre properties for textile industries.

Abstract Industrial wastewater contamination by azo dyes poses a significant environmental challenge. This study reports the green synthesis of bimetallic iron/nickel (Fe/Ni) nanoparticles using moringa leaf extract, which acted as both a reducing and capping agent, and their incorporation into polyethersulphone (PES) membranes to produce eco‐friendly ...
