This review discusses the integrated pathway of CO2 capture and its direct electrochemical conversion. It begins by discussing CO2 capture chemistries and solvent systems, followed by a detailed analysis of various CO2 release mechanisms. Key principles of reactor and catalyst design for direct CO2 electroreduction from capture media are then ...

Superbasic Anionic Calcium Alkyl Complexes: Templated Twofold Deprotonation of Benzene
A family of molecular anionic calcium alkyl complexes is described. Compared with their neutral analogues, these anionic systems show markedly higher basicity, exemplified by the templated twofold deprotonation of benzene to give an inverse‐crown areneide complex.

Two‐Stage Catalytic Conversion of Carbon Dioxide Into Aromatics Via Methane
The development of a two‐stage process for converting CO2 via CH4 to C6H6 using a Ni/TiO2 catalyst in stage 1 and a Mo/ZSM‐5 catalyst stage 2. Thermodynamic calculations as well as experimentally varying parameters, aided in finding the optimal reaction conditions and reducing the coke deposition in stage 2.
