Soft Neural Interfaces for Circuit‐Level Analysis of Magnetogenetic Deep Brain Stimulation in Parkinson's Disease Models

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Magnetogenetic deep brain stimulation (MG‐DBS) represents a wireless neuromodulation that has demonstrated long‐lasting behavioral benefits in Parkinson's disease models. However, the circuit‐level mechanisms underlying these therapeutic effects have remained uncharacterized due to limitations of conventional neural interfaces.

Neutrophil‐Mimetic MRI Enables Ultra‐Early Detection of Vascular Inflammation After Stroke

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
In this study, we developed neutrophil‐mimetic MRI probes that detect ultra‐early neuroinflammation following ischemic stroke by targeting E‐selectin. Within seconds of their injection, these microparticles mimic initial leukocyte adhesion to the activated cerebral endothelium.

Empirical Equation for Concrete Made With PPC or OPC with Fly Ash by Accelerated Mix Design Method

open access: yesJournal of Building Materials and Structures, 2021
Assessment of 28 days strength from accelerated strength (1 day) can be extremely helpful. Early prediction of 28 days compressive strength is required basically for two purposes.

Tough, Ductile, and Strong Hard‐Soft Cementitious Composite Enabled by Multi‐Material Additive Manufacturing

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Drawing inspiration from the layered hard‐soft architecture found in sea sponges, this work establishes a new framework for architected cementitious composites (ACC) through multi‐material additive manufacturing (MMAM) process. The integration of mortar and elastomer phases into layered architectures enables synergistic toughening mechanisms, including

Early age reaction of slag in composite cement: Impact of sulphates and calcite

open access: yesCement, 2023
Ground granulated blast furnace slag (GGBS) is an important supplementary cementitious material (SCM) for producing low carbon and durable concrete. There are however questions around the early age reactivity of GGBS and the factors that influence this ...

Post-cementation sensitivity of bridges cemented with different adhesive resin cements

open access: yesJournal of Clinical and Experimental Dentistry
Post-cementation sensitivity remains a common clinical concern in fixed partial dentures (FPDs), with variations in adhesive resin cement formulations influencing patient discomfort and long-term success. This study aimed to compare post-cementation sensitivity in FPDs cemented with three different resin cements: self-adhesive resin cements, resin ...

Elephant‐Skin‐Inspired Porous Cementitious Tiles with Programmable Crack Networks for Passive Cooling

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Elephant‐skin‐inspired crack networks are programmed in porous diatomaceous earth (DE)‐cement composites using substrate‐guided, stress‐concentration induced fracture. The resulting crack lattices act as capillary conduits that redistribute water, while the porous matrix stores moisture.

Chemically Doped Conductive Polymers for Wearable Health Monitoring

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
Among conductive polymers, poly(3,4‐ethylenedioxythiophene):poly(styrenesulfonate) (PEDOT:PSS), polyaniline (PANI), and polypyrrole (PPy) are the most studied and applied. Chemical doping significantly boosts intrinsic conductivity and mechanical robustness.
