The effect of undrained heating on a fluid-saturated hardened cement paste [PDF]
The effect of undrained heating on volume change and induced pore pressure increase is an important point to properly understand the behaviour and evaluate the integrity of an oil well cement sheath submitted to rapid temperature changes. This thermal pressurization of the pore fluid is due to the discrepancy between the thermal expansion coefficients ...

Molecular dynamics modeling of the effects of cementation on the acoustical properties of granular sedimentary rocks [PDF]
The incidence of cementation processes on the acoustical properties of sands is studied via molecular dynamics simulation techniques. In our simulations, we consider samples with different degrees of compaction and cementing materials with distinct elastic properties.

Thermal Processing Creates Water‐Stable PEDOT:PSS Films for Bioelectronics
Instead of using chemical cross–linkers, it is shown that PEDOT:PSS thin films for bioelectronics become water‐stable after a simple heat treatment. The heat treatment is compatible with a range of rigid and elastomeric substrates and films are stable in vivo for >20 days.

Development and properties of composite cement reinforced coconut fiber with the addition of fly ash [PDF]
In this paper, the effectiveness utilization of agriculture wastes and industrial wastes in the composites cement has been studied in terms of physical and mechanical properties. Twenty weight percent of fly ash and eighty weight percent of sand were added to the composite cement. The different weight percent of coconut fiber (3 wt. %, 6 wt. %, 9 wt. %,

Particle Motion in Fluid: Analytical and Numerical Study
Particle motion in fluid is discussed for one-particle systems as well as for dense suspensions, such as cementitious materials. The difference in large particle motion between larger particles and behaviour of fines (< 125 μm) is explained, motion of ...

Yield stress of aerated cement paste [PDF]
Yield stress of aerated cement paste is studied. Samples are prepared by mixing aqueous foam with cement paste, which allows controlling bubble size, gas volume fraction and yield stress of the cement paste. Two distinct behaviors are observed depending on the surfactant used to prepare the precursor aqueous foam: (i) For a surfactant with low ...
