Studies on the Effect of Cement-Kiln Dust on Vegetation
Journal of the Air Pollution Control Association, 1966Most of the recent work on the effects of cement-kiln dust has been confined to Germany and results differ considerably. There appears to be little doubt that naturally deposited dust from certain cement plants is responsible for leaf injury to deciduous and coniferous species and occasionally for death of the latter.

Formation, release and control of dioxins in cement kilns
Chemosphere, 2008Co-processing of hazardous wastes in cement kilns have for decades been thought to cause increased emissions of PCDD/PCDFs--a perception that has been evaluated in this study. Hundreds of PCDD/PCDF measurements conducted by the cement industry and others in the last few years, on emissions and solid materials, as well as recent test burns with ...

Compaction Properties of Cement Kiln Dust
2018Cement kiln dust (CKD) is a by-product of cement factories representing a real challenge for treatment due to the huge produced quantities of severe environmental hazards. Disposing of CKD requires compacting the raw material to the minimum volume due to the high cost of landfills.
