Fatigue Life Prediction in Cementitious Materials Through Bayesian Probabilistic Models

open access: yesFatigue &Fracture of Engineering Materials &Structures, Volume 48, Issue 8, Page 3434-3464, August 2025.
ABSTRACT First, we present a probabilistic framework for analyzing fatigue in cementitious materials, particularly concrete, within a Bayesian context. This is realized by incorporating the Sparks–Menzies relation, which correlates fatigue life to the secondary strain rate, into a probabilistic model.

Concentrated salt water can partially replace sodium hydroxide in alkali activation of blast furnace slag

open access: yesJournal of the American Ceramic Society, Volume 108, Issue 8, August 2025.
Abstract Alkali‐activated materials are low‐CO2 alternative binders, but the alkali‐activator component contributes significantly to the CO2 emissions, costs, and safety risks. This study explores the potential of partially replacing NaOH with highly concentrated salt waters as an activator for blast furnace slag and related chemical mechanisms.

Synthesis and Characterization of Hydroxyapatite via Microwave‐Assisted Method

open access: yesInternational Journal of Ceramic Engineering &Science, Volume 7, Issue 4, July 2025.
In‐depth characterization using X‐ray diffraction data of microwave assisted hydroxyapatite. ABSTRACT This study used the microwave synthesis method to manufacture nanocrystalline hydroxyapatite (HAp), a calcium and phosphate group mineral with a hexagonal lattice structure.
