GEOMECHANICAL CHARACTERISTICS OF CONTINUOUS SANDSTONE CONCRETE BASED ON ECOLOGICAL CEMENT WITH A KIMBUNGU BASALT SUBSTITUTION

open access: yesJournal of Engineering Studies and Research
Concrete is a geo-material highly used throughout the world. It is made up of granules, cement, and water. It is a composite material of which aggregates are coated by hydrated cement that plays a binder role.

A novel construction approach for the pore structure model principally focuses on the controllable roundness of rock particles

open access: yesDeep Underground Science and Engineering, EarlyView.
Particle rounding effects comparison of different methods: (a), (b), and (c) are the rounding results using the B‐spline curve method with different R; (d), (e), and (f) are the results of vertex rounding substitution method with different rounding radii.

Numerical investigation of the correlations of hydraulic and elastic characteristics in diverse carbonate rock types

open access: yesDeep Underground Science and Engineering, EarlyView.
We use the linear Boolean model and the discrete Fourier transformation approach to generate various carbonate rocks. The lattice Boltzmann method and the finite element method are applied to calculate permeability and elastic wave velocity, respectively.

Leakage risk assessment system for salt cavern hydrogen storage

open access: yesDeep Underground Science and Engineering, EarlyView.
Establishment of a leakage risk evaluation system for salt cavern hydrogen storage reservoirs using the entropy weight method plus two‐dimensional cloud modeling approach. Abstract Salt cavern hydrogen storage (SCHS) is an important component of large‐scale underground hydrogen storage, with advantages such as large hydrogen storage capacity and ...
