Development of a Miniaturized Capillary Rheometer for High Shear Rate Rheology of Dense Suspensions
This research presents a downscaled benchtop, low‐cost capillary rheometer that can characterize high shear rate rheometry of dense suspensions. The device is capable of measuring across a wide range of applicable shear rates using only a limited quantity of material and addresses a need for an accurate and affordable capillary rheometer.

CEMENT PRODUCTION PROCESS AND ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT OF CEMENT AND CONCRETE.
Cement production is one of the largest industries in the world. Annual world production in 2013 was approximately 4 GT (of which, about half was in China). It is produced in kilns at around 1400oC (2500oF), and approximately 750 kg (1650 lb) of CO2 are released for each tonne (2205 lb.) that is made.

ALTERNATIVE FUELS FOR CEMENT PRODUCTION
Different types of fuel which can be recommended for use in cement clinker production are considered. The analysis of specific heat of combustion of selected materials has been carried out, which has allowed to propose tires and plastic waste as the most promising among the possible alternative fuels.

The global energy demand drives the need for advanced energy‐efficient building solutions. While current polymeric‐shell microencapsulated PCMs show promise for thermal energy storage, their use in cementitious materials is challenged by poor shell strength and interfacial bonding. This study develops novel cement‐compatible microencapsulated PCM using
