Benign cementoblastoma (true cementoma)

Abstract Two new cases of benign cementoblastoma (true cementoma) are added to the literature. One occurred in a 36-year-old man and the other in a 16-year-old girl. Both odontogenic apical tumors were located at the level of the first and second right lower molars and have not recurred 4 years and 1 year, respectively, after extirpation.

AbstractFibro‐osseous cemental lesions of the jaw remain a controversial area of bone/cementum pathology. This article describes the clinicopathological features of 28 lesions classified as gigantiform cementoma. Black women are affected more frequently than other race and sex groups, with a peak frequency of occurrence in the fourth and fifth decades.
