The developmental biology of cementum.
The International journal of developmental biology, 2001In conclusion, we have reviewed an extensive literature on early cementogenesis and performed a detailed morphological and molecular analysis to illustrate and verify key issues in the current debate about epithelial and mesenchymal contributions to root cementum.

Early plaque colonization on human cementum
Journal of Clinical Periodontology, 1989Abstract We have described the morphology of developing plaque on cementum in an in vivo human model. Slabs of cementum obtained from sound teeth, rendered anorganic with 5% sodium hypochlorite, were glued to orthodontic brackets and positioned on the upper canines, premolars and molars in 8 volunteers, The brackets were removed after 2, 4, 8, 24 h and

Histological assessment of periodontally involved cementum
Journal of Clinical Periodontology, 1982Abstract Contamination of periodontally involved cementum by bacterial substances such as lipopolysaccharide (LPS) is considered a major reason for root planing. The purpose of the present study was to investigate the presence and location of lipid and polysaccharide within involved cementum as compared with uninvolved cementum.

Cementum growth in impacted teeth.
Acta stomatologica Belgica, 1995The authors present a study on the cementum of impacted teeth. It was not possible to correlate the thickness of the cementum and the age of the patients. Significant differences were found, on the other hand, between the thickness and distribution of the cementum in different teeth.
