Chemical constituents ofCentella asiatica
Journal of Asian Natural Products Research, 2007Studies on the chemical constituents of the aerial part of Centella asiatica have led to the isolation of three new compounds, named centellin (1), asiaticin (2), and centellicin (3). Their structures have been elucidated through spectral studies including 2D NMR experiments (HMQC, HMBC, (1)H-(1)H COSY, NOESY and J resolved).

A reinvestigation of the triterpenes of Centella asiatica
Phytochemistry, 1969Abstract Apart from the constituents reported earlier, the isolation of asiatic acid, asiaticoside, meso -inositol and a new oligosaccharide, “centellose”, is described from the Indian variety and their relative proportions determined in the plant material. The periodate oxidation product of asiatic acid has been reinvestigated and its structure has

[Activity of Centella asiatica in venous insufficiency].
Minerva cardioangiologica, 1992In this a review concerning TTFCA, its effects on metabolism in the connective tissue of the vascular wall and on the microcirculation are presented and discussed. This compound is effective in venous insufficiency, reducing ankle edema, foot swelling, capillary filtration rate and by improving microcirculatory parameters (RF, VAR PO2-PCO2).
