On continuous 2-category symmetries and Yang-Mills theory [PDF]
We study a 4d gauge theory U(1) N−1 ⋊ S N obtained from a U(1) N−1 theory by gauging a 0-form symmetry S N . We show that this theory has a global continuous 2-category symmetry, whose structure is particularly rich for N > 2.

A mathematical theory of gapless edges of 2d topological orders. Part I [PDF]
This is the first part of a two-part work on a unified mathematical theory of gapped and gapless edges of 2d topological orders. We analyze all the possible observables on the 1+1D world sheet of a chiral gapless edge of a 2d topological order, and show ...

Drinfeld Center and Representation Theory for Monoidal Categories [PDF]
Motivated by the relation between the Drinfeld double and central property (T) for quantum groups, given a rigid C*-tensor category $${\mathcal{C}}$$C and a unitary half-braiding on an ind-object, we construct a *-representation of the fusion algebra of $

Aspects of categorical symmetries from branes: SymTFTs and generalized charges [PDF]
Recently it has been observed that branes in geometric engineering and holography have a striking connection with generalized global symmetries. In this paper we argue that branes, in a certain topological limit, not only furnish the symmetry generators,

A lattice model for condensation in Levin-Wen systems [PDF]
Levin-Wen string-net models provide a construction of (2+1)D topologically ordered phases of matter with anyonic localized excitations described by the Drinfeld center of a unitary fusion category.

An application of the DR-duality theory for compact groups to endomorphism categories of C*-algebras with nontrivial center [PDF]
In Rev. Math. Phys. 4 (1997) 785 we study Hilbert-C* systems {F,G} where the fixed point algebra A has nontrivial center Z and where A'\cap F=Z is satisfied.

The process of nurses’ confrontation with ethical conflicts in home care: a grounded theory study [PDF]
Background Ethical conflicts (ECs) are an inseparable part of nursing care, particularly home care (HC). Nurses’ inability to effectively manage ECs may lead to occupational stress, job burnout, and low patient care quality.

S-E-R-V-E a theoretical framework for Christian leadership
This article introduces a new perspective on Christian leadership. The theoretical framework critically integrates and transforms Gary Yukl’s theory of four meta-categories of leadership.
