Validating Center-of-Pressure Balance Measurements Using the MatScanĀ® Pressure Mat
Journal of Sport Rehabilitation, 2018Context: Measurements of center-of-pressure (COP) excursions during balance are common practice in clinical and research settings to evaluate adaptations in postural control due to pathological or environmental conditions. Traditionally measured using laboratory force plates, pressure-mat devices may be a suitable option for clinicians and scientist to

A Wearable Measurement System for Sole Pressure to Calculate Center of Pressure in Sports Activity
2018 IEEE International Conference on Systems, Man, and Cybernetics (SMC), 2018Sole pressure has been analyzed and reported in recent years in medical and sports fields. However, these studies used a force plate or wired pressure sensor systems which has to be limited to a measurement area. Therefore, it cannot be applied to general sports motion like a marathon.

Effect of shoe modifications on center of pressure and in-shoe plantar pressures.
American journal of physical medicine & rehabilitation, 1999This study was conducted to determine the effect of footwear modification on patients with neuromusculoskeletal disorders. Two analyses, the center of pressure and the in-shoe plantar pressures, were studied with the help of healthy volunteers so that the effect of shoe modifications could be assessed.
