Aniba cinnamomiflora C. K. Allen is a tree species of Lauraceae family that produces essential oil. Study on the hydrodistillation product of wood pieces from branches of Aniba cinnamomiflora is presented. The 0.05% of essential oil was obtained.

Lithospheric flexure and bending of the Central Andes

Gravity anomaly and topography data are used to define the effective elastic thickness of the lithosphere, T,, in the bend region of the Central Andes. Values of Z” increase from nearly zero, north and south of the bend, to values greater than 50 km at the bend in Bolivia.
