De Novo Reconstruction of 3D Human Facial Images from DNA Sequence

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study introduces Difface, a novel deep‐learning model for reconstructing 3D facial images only from DNA data. By integrating transformer networks, spiral convolutions, and a diffusion model, Difface directly aligns high‐dimensional SNP data with 3D facial structures.

Origins, Dispersal, and Impact: Bidirectional Introgression Between Chinese and European Pig Populations

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study investigates bidirectional introgression between Chinese and European pig populations, revealing 3558 introgressed genomic segments and 30 structural variations. Analysis of the BMP2 region suggests its role in body size enhancement. By integrating ancient and modern genomes, the study highlights the impact of introgression on genetic ...

New Twists In The Study Of Gravity Wave Emission In Systems With Massive Black Holes [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 1996
Traditionlly, gravitational wave emission from a coalescing binary system is computed using point mass approximations without considering any accretion disk. However, it is believed that in many of the galactic nuclei, there are supermassive central black holes surrounded by accretion disks.
