Distribution of Haplotypes of White Oaks in Central Balkans

Cp DNA of white oaks from coastal Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Kosovo region, FYR of Macedonia and Albania were analysed with the same methods that were used in a previous survey of European oaks. Haplotypes characteristic for Balkan refugium were found, including haplotypes from Apeninic peninsula.
