We discuss divisibility properties of some differences of the central binomial coefficients and Catalan numbers. The main tool is the application of various congruences modulo high prime powers for binomial coefficients combined with some recurrences relevant to these combinatorial quantities.

ABSTRACT A (2‐dimensional) realisation of a graph G $G$ is a pair ( G , p ) $(G,p)$, where p $p$ maps the vertices of G $G$ to R 2 ${{\mathbb{R}}}^{2}$. A realisation is flexible if it can be continuously deformed while keeping the edge lengths fixed, and rigid otherwise.

Central binomial coefficients also count (2431,4231,1432,4132)-avoiders
This short paper is concerned with the enumeration of permutations avoiding the following four patterns: $2431$, $4231$, $1432$ and $4132$. Using a bijective construction, we prove that these permutations are counted by the central binomial coefficients.
