(2E,2′E)-1,1′-(1,4-Phenylene)bis[3-(3-chlorophenyl)prop-2-en-1-one]
The title bis-chalcone compound, C24H16Cl2O2, crystallizes with one half-molecule in the asymmetric unit. The molecule has crystallographic inversion symmetry and lies about an inversion centre at the centroid of the central benzene ring.

Fluorescent probes allow dynamic visualization of phosphoinositides in living cells (left), whereas mass spectrometry provides high‐sensitivity, isomer‐resolved quantitation (right). Their synergistic use captures complementary aspects of lipid signaling. This review illustrates how these approaches reveal the spatiotemporal regulation and quantitative

On a Class of Central Configurations in the Planar $${\varvec{3n}}$$3n-Body Problem
The existence of a central configuration of 2n bodies located on two concentric regular n-gons with the polygons which are homotetic or similar with an angle equal to $$\frac{\pi }{n}$$πn and the masses on the same polygon, are equal, has proved by ...

Protein pyrophosphorylation by inositol pyrophosphates — detection, function, and regulation
Protein pyrophosphorylation is an unusual signaling mechanism that was discovered two decades ago. It can be driven by inositol pyrophosphate messengers and influences various cellular processes. Herein, we summarize the research progress and challenges of this field, covering pathways found to be regulated by this posttranslational modification as ...

We identified a systemic, progressive loss of protein S‐glutathionylation—detected by nonreducing western blotting—alongside dysregulation of glutathione‐cycle enzymes in both neuronal and peripheral tissues of Taiwanese SMA mice. These alterations were partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotide therapy, revealing persistent redox imbalance as ...

The impact of the 2013 rule changes on gripping configuration in high-level judo athletes
Purpose: International Judo Federation introduced a set of new rules in a short time period (2009 − 2013). The aim of this research is to determine how the rule modification influences the gripping configurations used by elite male judo athletes ...

“Twist vectors" for central configuration equations
A new coordinate system on the tangent space to planar configurations is introduced to simplify some calculations on central configurations and relative equilibria in the $N$-body problem with a homogeneous potential, which includes the case of Newtonian gravity.

In this study, we found that human cervical‐derived adipocytes maintain intracellular iron level by regulating the expression of iron transport‐related proteins during adrenergic stimulation. Melanotransferrin is predicted to interact with transferrin receptor 1 based on in silico analysis.

On the eigenvalues of a central configuration
The equations of the Newtonian $n$-body problem have a matrix form, where an $n\times n$ matrix depending on the masses and on the mutual distances appears as a factor. The $n$ eigenvalues of this matrix are real and nonnegative. In a motion of relative equilibrium, the configuration, called {\it central}, has constant mutual distances.

Calpain small subunit homodimerization is robust and calcium‐independent
Calpains dimerize via penta‐EF‐hand (PEF) domains. Using single‐molecule force spectroscopy, we measured the strength and kinetics of PEF–PEF homodimer binding. The interaction is robust, shows a transient conformational step before dissociation, and remains largely insensitive to Ca2+.
