Effects of variable thermal diffusivity on the structure of convection [PDF]
The multiscale flow structure in the solar convection zone - the coexistence of such features as the granules, mesogranules, supergranules and giant cells - has not yet been properly understood. Here, the possible role of one physical factor - variations in the thermal diffusivity - in the formation of a multiscale convection structure is investigated.

Giant cell granuloma of the maxilla: global management, review of literature and case report [PDF]
Giant cell granuloma is a relatively rare benign entity but can be locally aggressive. Histologically characterized by intense proliferation of multinucleated giant cells and fibroblasts. Affects bone supported tissues. Definitive diagnosis is given by

This study demonstrates that using a Pedicle screw‐Rod configuration for the external fixation of non‐articular tibial osteotomy aligns well with the principles of biological osteosynthesis, resulting in secondary bone healing characterized by callus formation and neovascularization.

Objective Takayasu arteritis (TAK) and giant cell arteritis (GCA), the most common forms of large‐vessel vasculitis (LVV), can result in serious morbidity. Understanding the molecular basis of LVV should aid in developing better biomarkers and treatments. Methods Plasma proteomic profiling of 184 proteins was performed in two cohorts. Cohort 1 included

Central Giant Cell Granuloma Of Maxilla: A Case Report And Literature Review [PDF]
Central giant cell granuloma (CGCG) is a benign reactive lesion rather than benign neoplastic lesion. In 70% of cases, it is seen in mandible and the remaining 30% occurs in maxilla.

Peripheral calcifying odontogenic cyst in maxillary anterior gingiva: A case report
Abstract Background Calcifying odontogenic cysts (Gorlin cysts) most commonly present centrally and have only rarely been reported in peripheral locations. The purpose of this report is to describe a new case of peripheral calcifying odontogenic cyst (PCOC) occurring in the anterior maxillary gingiva and to review the management and differential ...

ABSTRACT Background Tuberculosis (TB) is a common cause of lymphadenopathy in developing countries. Fine needle aspiration cytology (FNAC) along with acid fast bacilli (AFB) detection is an invaluable diagnostic test. Fluorescent methods for AFB detection have greater sensitivity as compared to the Ziehl‐Neelsen (ZN) method. Methods The incidence of TB

Giant steps is a technique to accelerate Monte Carlo radiative transfer in optically-thick cells of astrophysical atmospheres by greatly reducing the number of Monte Carlo steps needed to propagate photon packets through such cells. Giant steps replaces the exact diffusion treatment of ordinary Monte Carlo radiative transfer in the cells by an ...
