CENTRAL BANK INDEPENDENCE AND MACROECONOMIC PERFORMANCES - AN EMPIRICAL APPROACH [PDF]

open access: yes
The empirical evidence upon the macroeconomic performances of the independent central banks do not always have been successfully. In some cases, the consistency of the indices based on the interpretation of central banks statues used for measuring the ...

Child-OIDP index in Brazil: Cross-cultural adaptation and validation [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
Background: Oral health-related quality of life (OHRQoL) measures are being increasingly used to introduce dimensions excluded by normative measures. Consequently, there is a need for an index which evaluates children's OHRQoL validated for Brazilian ...

Weight centralizer expectations with finite index

open access: yesMATHEMATICA SCANDINAVICA, 1999
Let \(M\) be a von Neumann algebra, \(\varphi\) be a faithful, normal semifinite weight on \(M\) and \(M^\varphi\) its centralizer. We characterize the conditional expectations \(E_\varphi: M\to M^\varphi\) of finite index for a faithful normal strictly semifinite weight \(\varphi\) on a semifinite von Neumann algebra \(M\) with finite-dimensional ...

Organoids in pediatric cancer research

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Organoid technology has revolutionized cancer research, yet its application in pediatric oncology remains limited. Recent advances have enabled the development of pediatric tumor organoids, offering new insights into disease biology, treatment response, and interactions with the tumor microenvironment.

The index of a Lie algebra, the centralizer of a nilpotent element, and the normalizer of the centralizer

open access: yesMathematical Proceedings of the Cambridge Philosophical Society, 2003
In this paper, we study the index for several natural classes of non-reductive subalgebras of semisimple Lie algebras. Namely, we look at parabolic subalgebras, centralisers of nilpotent elements, and the normalisers of the centralisers. We discuss a conjecture of Elashvili to the effect that the index of any centraliser is equal to the rank of the ...

Reciprocal control of viral infection and phosphoinositide dynamics

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Phosphoinositides, although scarce, regulate key cellular processes, including membrane dynamics and signaling. Viruses exploit these lipids to support their entry, replication, assembly, and egress. The central role of phosphoinositides in infection highlights phosphoinositide metabolism as a promising antiviral target.

The connection between sea ice dynamics enhancement and atmospheric circulation in the East Siberian Sea during spring

open access: yesEnvironmental Research Communications
The change in sea ice thickness can be divided into dynamical and thermodynamical effect. In the last four decades, the drastic changes in multi-year ice thickness in East Siberian Sea during spring have made the sea ice more susceptible to dynamical ...

Evaluation of central bank communication phenomenon based on readability indices

open access: yesВекторы благополучия: экономика и социум
Nowadays, the Russian monetary authority conducts a monetary policy by setting an inflation target. There are some evidence that this regime allows central banks to control the price level both in developed and emerging countries.
