Research on Hardware-in-the-loop Simulation for Traction Drive System of EMUs
The performance of traction control unit (TCU) directly affects the stability, dynamic response and speed range of EMUs. In order to realize the optimal design and comprehensive verification of TCU, the hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) of traction drive system

Parallel genome-wide analysis with central and graphic processing units [PDF]
The Indonesia Colorectal Cancer Consortium (IC3), the first cancer biobank repository in Indonesia, is faced with computational challenges in analyzing large quantities of genetic and phenotypic data. To overcome this challenge, we explore and compare performance of two parallel computing platforms that use central and graphic processing units.

This study reveals how the mitochondrial protein Slm35 is regulated in Saccharomyces cerevisiae. The authors identify stress‐responsive DNA elements and two upstream open reading frames (uORFs) in the 5′ untranslated region of SLM35. One uORF restricts translation, and its mutation increases Slm35 protein levels and mitophagy.

The Ile181Asn variant of human UDP‐xylose synthase (hUXS1), associated with a short‐stature genetic syndrome, has previously been reported as inactive. Our findings demonstrate that Ile181Asn‐hUXS1 retains catalytic activity similar to the wild‐type but exhibits reduced stability, a looser oligomeric state, and an increased tendency to precipitate ...

Cell wall target fragment discovery using a low‐cost, minimal fragment library
LoCoFrag100 is a fragment library made up of 100 different compounds. Similarity between the fragments is minimized and 10 different fragments are mixed into a single cocktail, which is soaked to protein crystals. These crystals are analysed by X‐ray crystallography, revealing the binding modes of the bound fragment ligands.

Z8001-based central processing unit with capability addressing
A central processing unit has been implemented, based on a Zilog Z80001 microprocessor and other off-the-shelf chips. The main features are a capability scheme for the protection of information and an effective hardware support for context switching from one process to another. The letter describes the overall CPU design with special reference to these

AZD9291 has shown promise in targeted cancer therapy but is limited by resistance. In this study, we employed metabolic labeling and LC–MS/MS to profile time‐resolved nascent protein perturbations, allowing dynamic tracking of drug‐responsive proteins. We demonstrated that increased NNMT expression is associated with drug resistance, highlighting NNMT ...
