Microarchitectural Malware Detection via Translation Lookaside Buffer (TLB) Events

open access: yesJournal of Cybersecurity and Privacy
Prior work has shown that Translation Lookaside Buffer (TLB) data contains valuable behavioral information. Many existing methodologies rely on timing features or focus solely on workload classification.

Machine learning–based automated image processing for quality management in industrial Internet of Things

open access: yesInternational Journal of Distributed Sensor Networks, 2019
The aim of this article is to automate quality control once a product, essentially a central processing unit system, is manufactured. Creating a model that helps in quality control, increases efficiency and speed of production by rejecting abnormal ...

Transferrin receptor 1‐mediated iron uptake supports thermogenic activation in human cervical‐derived adipocytes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
In this study, we found that human cervical‐derived adipocytes maintain intracellular iron level by regulating the expression of iron transport‐related proteins during adrenergic stimulation. Melanotransferrin is predicted to interact with transferrin receptor 1 based on in silico analysis.

Parallel genome-wide analysis with central and graphic processing units [PDF]

open access: yes2015 IEEE International Conference on Computer and Communications (ICCC), 2015
The Indonesia Colorectal Cancer Consortium (IC3), the first cancer biobank repository in Indonesia, is faced with computational challenges in analyzing large quantities of genetic and phenotypic data. To overcome this challenge, we explore and compare performance of two parallel computing platforms that use central and graphic processing units.

Structural insights into an engineered feruloyl esterase with improved MHET degrading properties

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
A feruloyl esterase was engineered to mimic key features of MHETase, enhancing the degradation of PET oligomers. Structural and computational analysis reveal how a point mutation stabilizes the active site and reshapes the binding cleft, expading substrate scope.

Modeling hepatic fibrosis in TP53 knockout iPSC‐derived human liver organoids

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study developed iPSC‐derived human liver organoids with TP53 gene knockout to model human liver fibrosis. These organoids showed elevated myofibroblast activation, early disease markers, and advanced fibrotic hallmarks. The use of profibrotic differentiation medium further amplified the fibrotic signature seen in the organoids.

Nomadic Base Station (NBS): a Software Defined Radio (SDR) based Architecture for Capacity Enhancement in Mobile Communications Networks [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
In this research work, the problem of congestion that leads to dropped calls at GSM cell sites and drastic reduction in network capacity is addressed. We designed a novel GSM base station architecture named Nomadic Base Station (NBS) which is based on ...

A synthetic benzoxazine dimer derivative targets c‐Myc to inhibit colorectal cancer progression

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Benzoxazine dimer derivatives bind to the bHLH‐LZ region of c‐Myc, disrupting c‐Myc/MAX complexes, which are evaluated from SAR analysis. This increases ubiquitination and reduces cellular c‐Myc. Impairing DNA repair mechanisms is shown through proteomic analysis.

Scalable and lightweight deep learning for efficient high accuracy single-molecule localization microscopy

open access: yesNature Communications
Deep learning has significantly improved the performance of single-molecule localization microscopy (SMLM), but many existing methods remain computationally intensive, limiting their applicability in high-throughput settings. To address these challenges,
