Collision-free Time Slot Reuse in Multi-hop Wireless Sensor Networks [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
To ensure a long-lived network of wireless communicating sensors, we are in need of a medium access control protocol that is able to prevent energy-wasting effects like idle listening, hidden terminal problem or collision of packets.

Algorithm of FBG Spectrum Distortion Correction for Optical Spectra Analyzers with CCD Elements

open access: yesSensors, 2021
Nonlinear spectrum distortions are caused by the peculiarities of the operation of charge-coupled device elements (CCD), in which the signal exposition time (Time of INTegration–TINT) is one of the significant parameters.

A Flux Mapping Method for Central Receiver Systems

open access: yesASME 2011 5th International Conference on Energy Sustainability, Parts A, B, and C, 2011
A new method is described to determine irradiance distributions on receivers and targets from heliostats or other collectors for concentrating solar power applications. The method uses a CCD camera, and, unlike previous beam characterization systems, it does not require additional sensors, calorimeters, or flux gauges on the receiver or target.
