Transcriptome‐wide analysis of circRNA and RBP profiles and their molecular relevance for GBM

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
CircRNAs are differentially expressed in glioblastoma primary tumors and might serve as therapeutic targets and diagnostic markers. The investigation of circRNA and RNA‐binding proteins (RBPs) interactions shows that distinct RBPs play a role in circRNA biogenesis and function.

Multidimensional OMICs reveal ARID1A orchestrated control of DNA damage, splicing, and cell cycle in normal‐like and malignant urothelial cells

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Loss of the frequently mutated chromatin remodeler ARID1A, a subunit of the SWI/SNF cBAF complex, results in less open chromatin, alternative splicing, and the failure to stop cells from progressing through the cell cycle after DNA damage in bladder (cancer) cells. Created in BioRender. Epigenetic regulators, such as the SWI/SNF complex, with important

Stereotactic radiotherapy for metastatic brain tumors: A comparative analysis of dose distributions among VMAT, Helical TomoTherapy, CyberKnife, Gamma Knife, and ZAP‐X

open access: yesJournal of Applied Clinical Medical Physics, EarlyView.
Abstract This study evaluates various radiotherapy techniques for treating metastatic brain tumor (BT), focusing on non‐coplanar volumetric modulated arc radiotherapy (NC‐VMAT), coplanar VMAT (C‐VMAT), Helical TomoTherapy (HT), CyberKnife (CK), Gamma Knife (GK), and ZAP‐X.

Shielding resources for four common radiopharmaceuticals utilized for imaging and therapy: Tc‐99m, F‐18, I‐131, and Lu‐177

open access: yesJournal of Applied Clinical Medical Physics, EarlyView.
Abstract Introduction The use of radioactive materials in the United States has been tightly regulated by the Nuclear Regulatory Commission and other entities for many decades. In 2015, however, the Joint Commission began to require hospital‐based nuclear medicine departments to conduct shielding designs and evaluations for radioactive material areas ...

Long-term trends of global maximum atmospheric mixed layer heights derived from radiosonde measurements

open access: yesEnvironmental Research Letters, 2020
The height of the atmospheric mixed layer is a critical parameter controlling the vertical dispersion of pollutants. Here we calculate daily maximum mixed layer height (MMLH) using operational radiosonde and surface meteorological measurements made at ...

Dynamic System Approach for Improved PM2.5 Prediction in Taiwan

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2020
This study presents two dynamic models, namely recurrent neural network and long short-term memory (LSTM) models, for predicting PM2.5 concentrations in Taiwan by using PM2.5 time series obtained at air quality monitoring stations and weather information

Flood Flow Frequency Model Selection Using L-moment Method in Arid and Semi Arid Regions of Iran [PDF]

open access: yesDesert, 2012
Statistical frequency analysis is the most common procedure for the analysis of flood data at a gauged location thatin first step it is needed to select a model to represent the population.

Age structure, dispersion and diet of a population of stoats (Mustela erminea) in southern Fiordland during the decline phase of the beechmast cycle [PDF]

open access: yes, 2004
The dispersion, age structure and diet of stoats (Mustela erminea) in beech forest in the Borland and Grebe Valleys, Fiordland National Park, were examined during December and January 2000/01, 20 months after a heavy seed-fall in 1999.
