Resilience centrality in complex networks.

Physical Review E, 2020
Resilience describes a system's ability to adjust its activity to retain the basic functionality when errors or failures occur in components (nodes) of the network. Due to the complexity of a system's structure, different components in the system exhibit

WKB analysis of graded-index multimode fibers with a central-index dip

Applied Optics, 1983
We have extended the Gloge-Marcatili analysis to include the effect of a refractive-index dip in a multimode fiber characterized a square-law profile. The analysis gives analytical expressions for the propagation characteristics and shows that the dip has a very significant effect on the impulse response.

Stress-difference index for graphs

Boletim da Sociedade Paranaense de Matemática
The stress of a vertex is a node centrality index, which has been introduced by Shimbel (1953). The stress of a vertex in a graph is the number of geodesics (shortest paths) passing through it.

Analysis on Centrality Index of Air Network

2018 Moratuwa Engineering Research Conference (MERCon), 2018
Air transport network plays a major role in catalyzing globalization through facilitating the movement of goods and people between countries. This study analysed the connectivity of the airline network of the national carrier of Sri Lanka and identified the critical airports and their impact to the network.

Central auditory plasticity indexed by mismatch negativity

Advanced Arab Academy of Audio-Vestibulogy Journal, 2014
Introduction Unilateral hearing loss (UHL) represents a particular model for investigating the functional auditory plasticity in humans. Normally, monaural stimulation produces a normal pattern of a contralateral dominance. With UHL, this pattern changes.

Prediction of central Augmentation Index in healthy adults

The Journal of Sports Medicine and Physical Fitness
Central Augmentation Index (AIx) is a surrogate marker of large artery stiffness that may provide valuable insight to cardiovascular health. The aim of this study was to evaluate the relationship between AIx and components of physical fitness. One hundred eighty-five healthy men and women (aged 20-79 years) underwent non-invasive assessment of arterial ...
