Non-uniform bounds and Edgeworth expansions in self-normalized limit theorems [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2022
We study Edgeworth expansions in limit theorems for self-normalized sums. Non-uniform bounds for expansions in the central limit theorem are established while only imposing minimal moment conditions. Within this result, we address the case of non-integer moments leading to a reduced remainder.

Recognition of Glycine Versus Nonglycine Citrulline Motifs Dictating the HLA Class II Association of Anticitrullinated Protein Antibodies: Insights From Autoantibody Profiling of 6,900 Scandinavian Patients With Rheumatoid Arthritis

open access: yesArthritis &Rheumatology, EarlyView.
Objective Rheumatoid arthritis (RA)–associated anticitrullinated protein antibodies (ACPAs) target various antigens by binding short citrulline amino acid motifs, resulting in heterogeneous ACPA profiles among patients. Here we analyzed ACPA patterns by recognized citrulline motifs in relation to the RA risk factors HLA‐DRB1 shared epitope (SE) alleles

On tensor products of operator modules [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2004
The injective tensor product of normal representable bimodules over von Neumann algebras is shown to be normal. The usual Banach module projective tensor product of central representable bimodules over an Abelian C$^*$-algebra is shown to be representable. A normal version of the projective tensor product is introduced for central normal bimodules.

“You're this person who's providing light”: Embodied responses to information loss and transition within LGBTQIA+ communities

open access: yesJournal of the Association for Information Science and Technology, EarlyView.
Abstract This paper reports on findings from 15 semi‐structured interviews with LGBTQIA+ individuals within the United States who have experienced the loss of one or more LGBTQIA+ information spaces. The paper specifically focuses on how such losses occurred and the information transitions experienced by the participants in response to this loss ...

Most central or least central? How much modeling decisions influence a node's centrality ranking in multiplex networks [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2016
To understand a node's centrality in a multiplex network, its centrality values in all the layers of the network can be aggregated. This requires a normalization of the values, to allow their meaningful comparison and aggregation over networks with different sizes and orders.

Engineering antibodies with cancer‐associated binding sites

open access: yesBMEMat, EarlyView.
This review describes antibodies that perform direct/indirect roles in cancer treatment by binding to effective targets and discusses how antibodies kill tumors and modulate tumor microenvironment through these targets. The classification of expression systems for antibody production is summarized to guide appropriate selection based on different ...

Bredon Homology of Partition Complexes [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
We prove that the Bredon homology or cohomology of the partition complex with fairly general coefficients is either trivial or computable in terms of constructions with the Steinberg module.

Unpacking the Renewable Pull Effect: Conditions for Green Industrial Relocation

open access: yesBusiness Strategy and the Environment, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The renewable pull effect theoretically leads to the relocation of green production facilities within energy‐intensive industries to regions rich in renewable energy resources. This study employs a qualitative research design, integrating the analytic hierarchy process method, by interviewing top managers and experts from globally leading ...
