Sparse Relational Reasoning with Object-Centric Representations [PDF]
We investigate the composability of soft-rules learned by relational neural architectures when operating over object-centric (slot-based) representations, under a variety of sparsity-inducing constraints. We find that increasing sparsity, especially on features, improves the performance of some models and leads to simpler relations.

Survival of Massive Star-forming Galaxies in Cluster Cores Drives Gas-Phase Metallicity Gradients : The Effects of Ram Pressure Stripping [PDF]
Recent observations of galaxies in a cluster at z=0.35 show that their integrated gas-phase metallicities increase with decreasing cluster-centric distance.

Leveraging Large Language Model for Automatic Evolving of Industrial Data-Centric R&D Cycle [PDF]
In the wake of relentless digital transformation, data-driven solutions are emerging as powerful tools to address multifarious industrial tasks such as forecasting, anomaly detection, planning, and even complex decision-making. Although data-centric R&D has been pivotal in harnessing these solutions, it often comes with significant costs in terms of ...

Insights into PI3K/AKT signaling in B cell development and chronic lymphocytic leukemia
This Review explores how the phosphoinositide 3‐kinase and protein kinase B pathway shapes B cell development and drives chronic lymphocytic leukemia, a common blood cancer. It examines how signaling levels affect disease progression, addresses treatment challenges, and introduces novel experimental strategies to improve therapies and patient outcomes.

Stellar-to-halo mass relation of cluster galaxies [PDF]
In the hierarchical formation model, galaxy clusters grow by accretion of smaller groups or isolated galaxies. During the infall into the centre of a cluster, the properties of accreted galaxies change.

Relational Object-Centric Actor-Critic [PDF]
The advances in unsupervised object-centric representation learning have significantly improved its application to downstream tasks. Recent works highlight that disentangled object representations can aid policy learning in image-based, object-centric reinforcement learning tasks.

Diphthamide synthesis is linked to the eEF2‐client chaperone machinery
The diphthamide modification of eukaryotic translation elongation factor 2 (eEF2) is important for accurate protein synthesis. We addressed the potential coordination of de novo eEF2 synthesis with simultaneous or subsequent diphthamide modification. Our work reveals that the co‐chaperones Hgh1 and Cpr7, which are known to support folding of nascent ...
