Enhancement of the Centroiding Algorithm for Star Tracker Measure Refinement
The application of the hyperacuity technique to image processing of star trackers is analysed. An analytical study of the error introduced by the centroiding algorithm is presented and it is shown that a systematic contribution and a random one exist ...

Space optical instruments optimisation thanks to CMOS image sensor technology [PDF]
Today, both CCD and CMOS sensors can be envisaged for nearly all visible sensors and instruments designed for space needs. Indeed, detectors built with both technologies allow excellent electro-optics performances to be reached, the selection of the most

Exposure Time Optimization for Highly Dynamic Star Trackers
Under highly dynamic conditions, the star-spots on the image sensor of a star tracker move across many pixels during the exposure time, which will reduce star detection sensitivity and increase star location errors.

Iteratively Weighted Centroiding for Shack-Hartmann Wave-Front Sensors [PDF]
Several techniques have been used with Shack-Hartmann wavefront sensors to determine the local wave-front gradient across each lenslet. In this article we introduce an iterative weighted technique which is specifically targeted for open-loop applications

A Centroiding Algorithm for Point-source Trails
Astrometric measurements are significantly challenged by the relative motion between the point source and the telescope, primarily due to the difficulty in accurately determining the position of the point source at the mid-exposure moment.

Extended centroid of hyperrings
In this paper, the notation of extended centroid is applied to hyperring. We show that the extended centroid C of a hyperring is a hyperfield. Also, we show that if a, b ∈ S such that axb = bxa for all x ∈ R, then there exists q ∈ C such that qa = b where R is a prime hyperring and S be the central closure of R.

Agricultural cover was positively associated with fluctuating asymmetry in Trypoxylon opacum, suggesting a possible increase in developmental instability in intensively managed landscapes. Wing size was positively related to forest cover and negatively related to agricultural cover, indicating that forested landscapes may promote larger body size ...
