Multi‐nutrient omission trials for yield optimization: Diagnosing yield‐limiting nutrients for onion (Allium cepa L.) and tomato (Solanum lycopersicum L.) under irrigation conditions in Raya Kobo District, Eastern Ethiopia

open access: yesAgrosystems, Geosciences &Environment, Volume 9, Issue 1, March 2026.
Abstract Knowing the most yield‐limiting soil nutrient is crucial for closing the yield gap in all crop production systems. The proper supply of balanced nutrients is essential for maximizing the production of onions and tomatoes. The study was conducted to determine the response of onion and tomato to the omission of different nutrients in their ...

A Note on Equivalences in Measuring Returns to Scale in Multi-output-multi-input Technologies [PDF]

open access: yes
In this article we show equivalence between the input oriented and output oriented scale elasticity measures for multi-output, multi-input technologies. We show the necessary and sufficient condition for this equivalence.

Comparison of the Halpha equivalent width of HII regions in a flocculent and a grand design galaxy: possible evidences for IMF variations

open access: yes, 2005
We present here a study of the Halpha equivalent widths of the flocculent galaxy NGC 4395 and the grand design galaxy NGC 5457. A difference between the mean values of the Halpha equivalent widths for the two galaxies has been found.

Antagonistic effect of rhizospheric bacteria against white rot (Sclerotium cepivorum) of garlic (Allium sativum L.) under in vitro and in vivo conditions

open access: yesAgrosystems, Geosciences &Environment, Volume 9, Issue 1, March 2026.
Abstract Garlic (Allium sativum), a vegetable crop used for food, medicine, and condiments, is affected by white rot (Sclerotium cepivorum). Garlic yield reduction is influenced by several factors, with biotic stresses, particularly fungal pathogens, being among the most significant.

Extensive phenotyping and genome‐wide analysis of grain number‐related traits in a diverse wheat core collection

open access: yesThe Plant Genome, Volume 19, Issue 1, March 2026.
Abstract Bread wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) is one of the most important staple crops globally. Grain number per spikelet (GPS) is an important yield component in wheat. It is influenced by floret number per spikelet (FPS) and floret fertility. Through three consecutive years of observation of FPS, GPS, and floret fertility per spikelet (FFPS) in a ...
