Plasmid mediated multidrug resistant of uropathogenic Proteus mirabilis [PDF]

open access: yesKirkuk Journal of Science, 2012
A total of 136 urine samples were collected aseptically from patients with urinary tract abnormality from April to June, 2010. Depending on morphological, cultural and biochemical testes 16(~11.8%) Proteus mirabilis isolates were recovered.

Prevalence of resistance to some beta-lactams among commensal canine E. coli isolates [PDF]

open access: yesBulgarian Journal of Veterinary Medicine, 2019
The sensitivity of 80 E. coli strains isolated from canine rectal swabs to antimicrobial drugs was tested in this study. The results showed 47.5% resistance to ampicillin, 18.7% to the combination amoxicillin/clavulanic acid and 6.2% to cephalothin.

Progressive Sub-MIC Exposure of Klebsiella pneumoniae 43816 to Cephalothin Induces the Evolution of Beta-Lactam Resistance without Acquisition of Beta-Lactamase Genes

open access: yesAntibiotics, 2023
Bacterial exposure to antibiotic concentrations below the minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) may result in a selection window allowing for the rapid evolution of resistance.

Effect of amikacin, cephalothin, clindamycin and vancomycin on in vitro fibroblast growth

open access: yesGenetics and Molecular Biology, 2004
The effect of four antibiotics (amikacin, clindamycin, cephalothin and vancomycin) was investigated considering that bacterial infection in fibroblasts cultures is a very frequent event.

In vitro activity effects of combinations of cephalothin, dicloxacillin, imipenem, vancomycin and amikacin against methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus spp. strains

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical Microbiology and Antimicrobials, 2006
Background combinations of drugs has been proposed as an alternative for oxacillin-resistant staphylococci infections, however, limited information about in vitro combinations are available for multi-resistant strains.

Minimum Inhibitory Concentration (MIC) and Minimum Bactericidal Concentration (MBC) for Twelve Antimicrobials (Biocides and Antibiotics) in Eight Strains of Listeria monocytogenes

open access: yesBiology, 2021
When selecting effective doses of antimicrobials, be they biocides or antibiotics, it is essential to know the minimum inhibitory concentrations (MICs) and minimum bactericidal concentrations (MBCs) of these substances.

Electrochemical study and dependence of ‘transition state’ in Co(II) and Ni(II) complexes with some antibiotics and cephalothin

open access: yesEclética Química, 2018
Electrode kinetics and study of ‘transition state’ with applied potential in case of [M – antibiotics – cephalothin] system were reported at pH = 7.30 ± 0.01 at suitable supporting electrolyte at 25.0 0 C.
