ABSTRACT Nitrogen‐doped carbide‐derived carbons (N‐CDCs) are promising materials for energy storage due to their tunable structure and chemistry. Here, we design a molecular architecture strategy to promote nitrogen incorporation and microstructural control during the synthesis of N‐CDCs.

Er3+–Yb3+‐codoped LaF3 glass–ceramic optical fiber
Abstract This paper reports the preparation and characterization of LaF3‐based glass–ceramic (GC) optical fibers codoped with Er3+ and Yb3+ ions, using the rod‐in‐tube method with Duran glass as cladding. Structural analysis, including x‐ray diffraction and transmission electron microscopy, confirmed the presence of LaF3 nanocrystals in the core, with ...

Cossid moths (Lepidoptera: Cossidae) as pests of woody plants – A review
Abstract The Cossidae is a worldwide family of macro‐moths popularly known as carpenter moths due to the larval habit of boring in the wood of living plants. This review compiles current knowledge on the characteristics, diversity and bionomy of cossid moths as well as the damage they cause on woody plants.

Comportamientos intrínseco y extrínseco de piezocerámicas
High values of dielectric and piezoelectric coefficients in piezoceramics are due to the superposition of extrinsic and intrinsic effects. The aim of this paper is to gain insights into the intrinsic and extrinsic mechanisms present in ceramics.

No linealidad del efecto piezoelectrico directo d33 en cerámicas PZT
A new measurement method has been developed in order to analyse the non-linear behaviour of piezoelectric ceramics. Based on Berlincourt–type method, the applied stress is so high that non linear effects can be produced. Its response is analysed not only

Crystalline structure and electrical properties of solid solutions YNixMn1-xO3
Solid solutions belonging to the Mn-rich region of the YNiXMn1-XO3 system have been studied. The powders were prepared by solid state reaction between the corresponding oxides. Sintered ceramics were obtained by firing at 1325-1350ºC.
