Alumina‐Based Ceramics for Armor Application: Mechanical Characterization and Ballistic Testing
The aim of this work is to present results of mechanical characterization and ballistic test of alumina‐based armor plates. Three compositions (92, 96, and 99 wt% Al2O3) were tested for 10 mm thick plates processed in an industrial plant. Samples were pressed at 110 MPa and sintered at 1600°C for 6 h.

Parameter Optimization in the Synthesis of BZT Ceramics to Achieve Good Dielectric Properties
The powder synthesis of barium zirconate titanate (BZT) (BaZrxTi(1 − x)O3) from the mechanochemical activation of BaCO3, ZrO2, and TiO2 was studied. The grinding effect, by using a planetary ball milling, on the crystallization temperature of BZT powders (x = 0.05) was analyzed.
