Two‐Block Paths in Oriented Graphs of Large Semidegree
ABSTRACT We study the existence of oriented paths with two blocks in oriented graphs under semidegree conditions. A block of an oriented path is a maximal directed subpath. Given positive integers k $k$ and ℓ $\ell $ with k / 2 ≤ ℓ < k $k/2\le \ell \lt k$, we establish a semidegree function that guarantees the containment of every oriented path with ...

Mature Cooperative Groups Seeking New Identities: The Case of Belgium [PDF]
The cooperative sector in Belgium has always been very much linked to other social movements. In the 1990s the backbone of the sector, namely the cooperative banks, have undergone major transformations. In this article, the two most important cooperative

Abstract BACKGROUND Over the past two decades, the global incidence of gout has markedly increased, affecting people worldwide. Considering the side effects of xanthine oxidase (XO) inhibitor drugs (e.g. allopurinol and febuxostat) used in the treatment of hyperuricemia and gout, the potential application of phytochemicals has been widely studied.

ABSTRACT Nitrogen and phosphorus availability drive plant community composition, productivity, and ecosystem functioning. During succession, nutrient availability typically changes as organic matter accumulates in the soil, influencing both nitrogen and phosphorus pools. We assessed nutrient limitation along postmining chronosequences (10–50 years old),

Calibration‐Free Single‐Frame Super‐Resolution Fluorescence Microscopy
A deep learning framework reconstructs super‐resolved fluorescence images from a single dense camera frame, without any prior calibration or knowledge of the microscope. Trained solely on synthetic data, it generalizes across imaging setups and conditions.

Assessment of Electrical Resistance Sensors Sensitivity to Localized Corrosion
Are electrical resistance (ER) sensors reliable for localized corrosion detection? This study combines analytical modeling and experimental validation to show the vulnerability of ER sensors. The results demonstrate significant underestimation of the true corrosion depth of localized attacks depending on defect's geometry.

Grothendieck and ℓ∞$\ell _\infty$‐Grothendieck Subspaces of ℓ∞$\ell _\infty$
ABSTRACT Let c=2ℵ0$\mathfrak {c}=2^{\aleph _0}$. We prove that ℓ∞$\ell _\infty$ contains 2c$2^{\mathfrak {c}}$ pairwise non‐isomorphic non‐reflexive Grothendieck subspaces. They may all be chosen to contain the canonical copy of c0$c_0$ and to have an infinite‐dimensional reflexive quotient. This is optimal and answers Problem 24 of González and Kania [
