Patterns of tetraspore discharge in Caloglossa and Murrayella (Ceramiales, Rhodophyta)

Phycological Research, 1999
SUMMARY Caloglossa released tetraspores only during dark periods in contrast to a marked light-period release exhibited by Murrayella. Both could be readily converted to a reversed light-dark cycle after a lag period of 1 day. Maximum tetraspore discharge by Caloglossa occurred approximately 4–5 h after the onset of darkness and by Murrayella 4–5 h ...

Two species of Ceramiales from Australia and New Zealand

Phycologia, 1971
Abstract The tribe Amansieae, including the genus Lenormandia, is characterized by the presence of the pigment floridorubin. Two species of Lenormandia do not contain floridorubin and their morphological characteristics are distinct. L. coronata Lindauer et Setchell is transferred to the Chondrieae as Cladhymenia coronata (Lindauer et Setchell) Saenger.

Phycochemical investigations on Centroceras clavulatum (Ceramiales, Rhodophyta).

Pakistan journal of pharmaceutical sciences, 2006
The methanolic extract of a marine red alga Centroceras clavulatum (C. Ag.) Mont., collected from the coast of Karachi, was studied for its fatty acid and sterol compositions. The analysis of fatty acid methyl esters by GC-MS revealed the presence of methyl laurate, tridecylate, myristate, pentadecylate, palmitate, margarate, nonadecylate, arachidate ...

Eupogodon iridescens(Dasyaceae, Ceramiales) andLophocladia kipukaia(Rhodomelaceae, Ceramiales), two new species of Rhodophyta from Hawaii

British Phycological Journal, 1990
New species of Eupogodon, E. iridescens (Dasyaceae, Ceramiales) and Lophocladia, L. kipukaia (Lophothalieae, Rhodomelaceae, Ceramiales) are described from the Hawaiian Islands. The general characteristics and diagnostic criteria of both genera are discussed. Plants of Eupogodon iridescens have long been collected in Hawaii, but have been without a name.

Acanthophora najadiformis (Ceramiales, Rhodophyta) in the Gulf of Taranto

1994
