Ceramic Pigments for Producing Black Glazes

Glass and Ceramics, 2005
A new black-color ceramic pigment has been developed on the basis of the CoO - Fe2O3 system under a decreased temperature of synthesis (1000 – 1200°C). The optimum temperature range of the spinel-forming reaction in the specified oxide system is determined.

SrTiO3 as a new solar reflective pigment on the cooling property of PMMA-ceramic composites

Ceramics International, 2019
Polymer-ceramic hybridization is an important method for preparing functional materials. Strontium titanate (SrTiO3, ST), a typical perovskite ceramic, has been widely applied in the electronics industry and photocatalytic fields.

Titania slag as a ceramic pigment

Dyes and Pigments, 2008
The phase transformations and colouring mechanisms that occur during the ceramic processing of titania slag were investigated using XRF-EDS, XRD, DRS and laboratory-scale application in glazed and unglazed tiles. The slag transforms to pseudobrookite, undergoing a drastic colour change during firing as a consequence of thermal oxidation with Fe2+ to ...

Monoferrite BaFe2O4 applied as ceramic pigment

Ceramics International, 2007
Abstract This work had the objective of studying the ceramic pigment BaFe 2 O 4 , which presents iron as the chromophore ion, and barium as net modifier. Synthesis was done by the polymeric precursor method. After calcination at different temperatures, characterizations were done by X-ray diffraction, infrared spectroscopy, surface area by BET ...

Preparation and characterization of encapsulated CoAl2O4 pigment and charge control agent for ceramic toner via suspension polymerization

Ceramics International, 2018
Styrene-butyl acrylate resin encapsulated CoAl2O4 pigment and charge control agent (CCA) for ceramic toner were synthesized via suspension polymerization. The components of composite particles were investigated by fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (
