Visible Light Induced DLP‐Printed Oxygen‐Releasing TPMS Scaffolds Mitigate Early Hypoxia in Bone Defects

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, Volume 15, Issue 3, 19 January 2026.
Visible light‐induced digital light processing 3D printed Primitive‐triply periodic minimal surface hydrogels embed CaO2–Si core–shell nanoparticles to deliver short‐term oxygen during the avascular window. The scaffolds maintain cytocompatibility, elevate osteopontin in vitro, and enhance calvarial defect repair in vivo without toxicity.

Biomechanical comparison of a new minimally invasive technique versus conventional plating for the treatment of open book symphyseal injuries in osteoporotic human pelvises

open access: yesJournal of Experimental Orthopaedics, Volume 13, Issue 1, January 2026.
Abstract Purpose Traumatic open book injuries of the pubic symphysis require stable fixation while minimizing surgical morbidity. Traditional symphyseal plating is associated with complications such as implant failure and infections. This study aims to evaluate the biomechanical performance of a novel minimally invasive technique using an internal ...

Waiting for the rains: An attempt to evaluate the efficiency of the large Roman cistern at Barbariga Stancija (Casematte, Istria, Croatia)

open access: yesJournal of Quaternary Science, Volume 41, Issue 1, Page 99-117, January 2026.
ABSTRACT Access to freshwater has always been a critical factor in sustaining human settlements, especially in regions with limited water resources. In the Mediterranean region, where dry summers and karst landscapes limit water availability, ancient societies developed advanced methods for collecting and storing rainwater. Among these, cisterns played
