Single and combined effects of polystyrene nanoplastics and Cd on submerged plants Ceratophyllum demersum L.

Science of the Total Environment, 2023
Nanoplastics (NPs) and heavy metals are widely distributed in aquatic ecosystem, posing a potential threat to ecosystem function. Submerged macrophytes play an important role in water purification and maintaining ecological functions.

Response of Ceratophyllum demersum L. and its epiphytic biofilms to 6PPD and 6PPD-Q exposure: Based on metabolomics and microbial community analysis.

Journal of Hazardous Materials
The emerging contaminant N-(1,3-dimethylbutyl)-N'-phenyl-p-phenylenediamine (6PPD) and its ozone conversion product N-(1,3-dimethylbutyl)-N'-phenyl-p-phenylenediamine quinone (6PPD-Q) pose a threat to aquatic ecosystems.

Effects of long-chained perfluoroalkyl acids (PFAAs) on the uptake and bioaccumulation of short-chained PFAAs in two free-floating macrophytes: Eichhornia crassipes and Ceratophyllum demersum.

Journal of Hazardous Materials
Short-chained perfluoroalkyl acids (PFAAs, CnF2n+1-R, n ≤ 6) have merged as global concerns due to their extensive application and considerable toxicity.

Evaluation of two freshwater macrophytes, Ceratophyllum demersum and Potamogeton amplifoliusas feed ingredients for Nile tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) fingerlings

Indian Journal of Geo-Marine Sciences, 2021
The present study was carried out to evaluate the potential of two common freshwater macrophytes ( Ceratophyllum demersum and Potamogeton amplifolius ) as feed ingredients for Nile tilapia fingerlings, in two consecutive experiments. The first experiment

Variation of Ceratophyllum Demersum in Eastern Kansas

Transactions of the Kansas Academy of Science (1903-), 1951
Field observations in the state reveal that Ceratophyllum demersum L. is a much more common plant than our records show. Gates (1940) lists the plant from eight scattered counties. The writer has, however, found the species in many Kansas counties and feels certain that it occurs throughout the state in suitable habitats.
