Ceratorhiza pernacatena and Epulorhiza calendulina spp.nov.: mycorrhizal fungi of terrestrial orchids

Binucleate Rhizoctonia (Ceratorhiza spp.) induce adventitious root formation in hypocotyl cuttings of Pinus sylvestris L.

Adventitious rooting of Scots pine (Pinus sylvestris L.) hypocotyl cuttings was promoted by binucleate Rhizoctonia (BnR) and to a lesser extent by ectomycorrhizal fungi. Four BnR isolates (251, 266, 268 and 269) differentiated root meristems and significantly induced adventitious rooting in young derooted seedlings.

Ceratorhiza oryzae-sativae, a new combination for the anamorph of Cerabasidium setariae

Rhizoctonia oryzae-sativae, the anamorph of Ceratobasidium setariae, is transferred to Ceratorhiza. A discussion of teleomorph and anamorph taxonomy and nomenclature is also given and it is concluded that, for the present, there is only one holomorph species.
